Complementary Studies
Complementary studies let you request laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, or other studies for your patients. Each record can have complementary studies attached.
Create complementary studies
When you create or edit a clinical record, open the Complementary Studies tab:
- In the Studies field, write the studies you request from the patient.
- Save the record to store the studies.
Example
Studies: Complete blood count, Fasting glucose, Lipid profile, Abdominal ultrasound.
Tip
You can write all the studies in one field, separated by commas or on separate lines. The field accepts free text, so it works for any kind of study.
View complementary studies
From the patient's list of clinical records:
- Click the record's actions menu.
- Choose View complementary study.
- A view opens with the requested studies.
Generate the PDF
You can download the studies as a PDF document to give to the patient or send to the laboratory:
- From the record detail view, click the complementary studies Download PDF button.
- The PDF is generated with your logo, letterhead, and the patient's data.
Tip
Set up your logo and letterhead so the document has a professional look.
Enable or disable complementary studies
The complementary studies section can be enabled or disabled from the record schema settings. If you disable it, the "Complementary Studies" tab will not appear when you create or edit records.
